A facile template-free hydrothermal synthesis of nitrogen-doped flower like porous carbon materials

Nitrogen-doped flower-like porous carbon material(FLPC) was fabricated through a simple hydrothermal reaction,followed by activation with ZnCl2 and HCl etching.The two main reactants,NiSO4 and hexamethylenetetramine(HMT),played multifunctional roles:HMT as the precipitant as well as the nitrogen source,and NiSO4 as the flower-like structure directing reagent,mesopore-forming reagent,and catalyst for graphitization.
