Energy shortage is an important problem with the global increasing demand for energy.Biofuels provide a potential and promising green alternative to fulfill such demand.Increasingly,attention within the biofuels community is turning toward the potential for crop straws in producing bioethanol.Alkali pretreatment was considered as an effective and indispensible process for bioethanol production.
