Objective: G monomer, a pharmacological active component purified from gardenia fruit, has been known to exhibit antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and other important therapeutic activities.Based on observations from neuropathology, epidemiology, and in vitro and animal experiments, the inflammatory component of Alzheimers disease (AD) has been considered a compelling target for therapeutic intervention.
