Objectives: 8-hydroxydeoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) is a marker for oxidative damage to lipids and DNA.Some studies showed that salivary 8-OHdG is associated with periodontitis, however, their sample size were small and the results were not fully adjusted for potential confounders.This study aims to assess the relationship between salivary 8-OHdG and periodontitis in Korean elders after controlling for various confounders.
