  Alexandrium tamarense (A.tamarense) is a notorious H-ABs species, which is associated with the largest number of paralytic shellfish poisoning cases, causing devastating economic losses and health hazards.Mangrovimonas sp.LY01 which isolated from mangrove sediment, showed high algieidal effects on A.tamarense.The 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity between strain LY01 and other strains was less than 93.8%, which represented this bacterium was a novel bacterium.Bacterial culture showed high algicidal effect on A.tamarense, algicidal rate was 93.9% after treatment for 72h.A.tamarense was also susceptible to the culture filtrate of LY01 by algieidal activity assay, however washed bacterial cells did not show any algicidal activity towards A.tamarense.In this study, we investigated the effect of culture filtrate on growth, photosynthesis and oxidative stress of A.
