The brain is organized into several large-scale networks that, both individually and in combination, may support cognitive and affective processing.Dysregulation of these brain networks and their interactions may contribute to various neuropsychiatric disorders. In this presentation, experimental data will be provided to demonstrate: 1)Large-scale brain network architecture is modulated by cognitive task loads; 2)Large-scale network reorganization mediates cognitive improvement in neuro-feedback training; and 3)large-scale network interaction underlie the states of brain disorder.Significance of these findings in understanding the neurobiological mechanisms of the cognitive function and dysfunction will be discussed.
