The alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) is one of classical methods for solving convex optimization problems.Recently,it has been recognized that ADMM can possibly be a good heuristic for diverse nonconvex optimization problems[1,2].Particularly,in structural optimization,ADMM was applied to approximately solve a truss topology optimization problem with the constraint on the number of existing nodes[3].
