BACKGROUND: Primary hypertension is an important risk factor of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease.With the application of ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, it was found that hypertensive patients with abnormal circadian rhythm, pulse pressure or pulse pressure index had a high risk of occurring cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease.This study aimed to investigate the relationship between serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 level and nocturnal pulse pressure index in elderly men with hypertension.
