This article examines "Language Presentation Method" (LPM) applied in China against the backdrop of what is used about its use in English-speaking countries.An analysis of language presentation method is detailed to explore some possible causes about its low-effectiveness in Chinese English teaching.Elements such as teacher-centered teaching style, Chinese traditional culture, and psychological factors, may have influenced the effectiveness of LPM in English teaching.The paper also put forwards some corresponding solutions in order to make this method more effective, and, it may be a valuable research for those who pay attention to English teaching methods in intercultural context, especially for Chinese context.
