讨论中国新诗的“传统”,这在今天人们的心目当中会引发出两种不同的理解:一是中国新诗与古典诗歌“传统”的关系;一是中国新诗自身所形成的“传统”。这两种意义上的“传统”都关乎我们对于中国新诗本质的把握,影响着我们对于其未来发展的估价。 Discussing the “tradition” of Chinese new poetry leads to two different understandings in today’s mind: one is the relationship between the new Chinese poetry and the “tradition” of the classical poetry; the other is the “tradition” formed by the Chinese new poetry itself. Both of these “traditions” of meaning concern our grasp of the nature of Chinese new poetry and affect our assessment of its future development.
