  Negative index metamaterials(NIMs)are artificial structures with unique optical properties.[1,2] Until now,the method to experimental realize the NIMs is standard PCB process,which contains complex procedures like coat resist,shadow mask,development,etching.[3] So,it is a crucial issue to develop a new way for the fabrication of NIMs more efficiency and flexibility.In this work,we apply the conventional screen printing method to altering printed circuit board(PCB)process to fabricate NIMs on flexible substrate.After patterning Ag conductive ink on PI films and sintering at 150oC for 5min,NIMs with high quality,large area,and excellent performance have been obtained.Both simulation and experimental results show that the NIMs with 3μm Ag layers could exhibit wide range of negative refractive index up to 3 GHz.
