In this study, the sensitivity of 105 isolates of S.sclerotiorum from different geographical regions to azoxystrobin were measured, and the EC50 values ranged from 0.112 7 to 0.616 3 μg/ml, with a mean of 0.293 2 μg/ ml.We also tested the EC50 of nine isolates to the different ratio of mixtures of thiram and azoxytrobin (based on inhibition of S.sclerotiorum mycelial growth in vitro), the ratio giving greatest inhibition of the mixture of the commonly used fungicide thiram and azoxystrobin was 1 ∶ 4, which had a mean synergy ratio of 2.31, indicating synergistic inhibition.In field trials, the treatments at Thi ∶ Azo 1 ∶ 4 and Thi ∶ Azo 1 ∶ 8 provided higher control efficacies 87.7 and 84.29%, respectively, than the treatments thiram or azoxytrobin only with control efficacies of 33.75 and 80.87%, respectively.These results suggest that azoxystrobin combined with thiram can be useful for management of diseases caused by S.sclerotiorum.
