Arrhythmias and heart failure are common cause of sudden death.Malignant arrhythmia is closely associated with cardiac dysfunction, its cellular genetic mechanism on molecular biology is related to abnormal cardiac calcium release.Ryanodine receptors (RyR) are cardiac sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) Ca2+ release channels.Dysfunctional RyR, exhibiting enhanced Ca2+ leak has been implicated in arrhythmogenesis and heart failure (HF).Both CAMR1 and CAMR2 were found to be associated with calcium release channel ryanodine receptors (RyR).
