  Apricot(Prunus armeniaca L.)is an important fruit crop in temperate regions.The most serious disease of apricot is Sharka which is also called Plum Pox Virus(PPV).The use of genetic resistance is the most promising solution for the control of the virus.Here we report initial results of PPV resistance search in Turkish germplasm.We have been testing 239 accessions in the genetic source collection of the country located in Apricot Research Station in Malatya.
