  An effective numerical method has been developed to simulate fluid-structure interaction(FSI)problems with largely deformable solids.The proposed method is implemented under the framework of immersed boundary method(IBM)by employing the lattice Boltzmann method(LBM)for incompressible viscous fluid flow and the newly developed smoothed point interpolation(S-PIM)for the analysis of structurals.
