Background: Cancer is the leading cause of death all over the world. The molecular mechanisms of cancer occurrence, development and metastasis are quite complicated.A lot of studies have been done for different cancer classes separately. However pan-cancer analysis on molecular aberrations at DNA level reveals that similar mechanism might underlie different cancers.Transcriptional responses of tumors reflect the transcriptional variation in disease state compared to the normal tissues.Analysis on transcriptional responses across many different tumor types could provide new insight into cancers. So in this study, we present an exploration based on transcriptional responses to discover the similarity, instead of the difference, among cancers.
