Although modern (<100 years) sedimentation rates derived from 210Pb and/or 137Cs in the northern South China Sea (North-SCS) have been reported in a few previous works, source-to-sink pathways in this area are still elusive. From our recent studies supported by NSC (Taiwan) and the 973 project (China), we have obtained more data allowing us to make an integrative evaluation of sedimentation rates and inventories of 210Pbex and 137Cs in the North-SCS.
