1,2,3,4-Tetrahydropyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrazines serve as important scaffolds due to their potential antihypoxic, antiarrhythmic, psychotropic, andantihypersensitive activities.A highly efficient iridium-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation of 1-substituted pyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrazinium salts has been developed, giving the chiral 1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrazines with up to 94％ ee.
