  H5N1 subtype of avian influenza virus (AIV) raised worldwide concern,because of its extensive morbidity and high mortality to poultry,and also because the virus can infect human.The 3-and 5-terminal regions are very important for AIV genome replication and transcription.We designed a pair of special primers based on the conserved sequence among the eight RNA segments ofAIV genome.We have already amplified and sequenced 42 strains all eight RNA fragment terminals of 42 strains H5N1 subtype AIV genome.The experiments proved its a simple and rapid method to sequence H5N1 subtype of Avian Influenza Virus genome Terminals a large number of samples.
