Adjustability is an important function of the DC high speed Circuit Breaker magnetic release.Based on 3-D finite element method, the static characteristics of the magnetic release were obtained.The reactive force of the disc spring group was calculated by a simplified equation.Then the dynamic characteristics of the magnetic release were simulated with multi-dynamics method.After that, two efficient methods to adjust the current setting value (i.e.regulating the preload length of reaction spring and regulating the displacement of the core) were compared in the aspects of range, scale division value and linearity.At last, to obtain a better adjustability, emphasis is placed on the combination of these two adjustment methods.
