Material damping is a very important mechanical parameter for structural dynamics analysis and vibration control.But when we want to measure the damping of turbo machinery materials in high temperature environment some special obstacles are encountered due to the limits of high temperature environment.On the other hand, the damping of these materials may be stress-amplitude-dependent or frequency-dependent, and the traditional method in ASTM E756 is unsuitable in these conditions.This study presented a high temperature material damping test method and developed an experiment apparatus to measure the damping of Titanium alloy.
