The non-life insurance rate making consists of establishing a premium or a tariff paid by the insured to the insurance company in exchange for the risk transfer.A usual way to obtain the insurance premium is to combine the conditional expectation of the claim frequency with the expected claim amount.A car with over 7000 parts is a highly complex product. In spite of employing the best quality and reliability practicesduring product development, manufacturing, and assembly, unexpected failures happen. In this thesis we have analyzed the data applying Weibull regression embedded into GLMs structure in order to identify how variables affect the distance before the first breakdown. The outcome of the analysis is that the distance before the first breakdown depends on the car type and the area it is driven. It has been shown that the higher coefficient estimate indicates the lower probability of breakdown.A numerical illustration based on a data derived from Chinese dealership store and is performed with the statistical software SAS.
