At present,the number of visually impaired people in China is increasing by 450,000 per year.At the same time,with the development of urban traffic,the travel environment becomes more and more complex,and the amount of information they face and need to process when traveling rapidly increases to a huge magnitude,making it more and more difficult for visually impaired people to travel.At present,the commonly used blind cane and navigation products can no longer meet the safety needs and travel efficiency needs of the visually impaired.In order to improve the travel safety and efficiency of the visually impaired,this paper,based on the systematization of the travel behavior and process of the visually impaired,applied the interpretive structure model method to establish the interpretive structure model of the travel system of the visually impaired and drew a hierarchy diagram.Through the analysis of the level of the elements and the relationship between the elements to provide a basis for the design practice,the final design scheme.The research stage of this paper is mainly divided into parts: first,through in-depth user interviews with 30 visually impaired people,the factors involved in the travel process of visually impaired people and the influencing factors are extracted,and finally the 74 elements included in the travel system for visually impaired people are obtained.Secondly,based on these 74 factors and the binary relationship between them,the travel system interpretation structure model for the visually impaired was established by using the interpretive structure model method and the hierarchical diagram was drawn.Thirdly,it classifies the elements twice and establishes the mapping relationship between the elements and the design steps.Based on the hierarchy diagram and mapping relationship,the requirements and reference elements that need to be prioritized are selected to guide the design practice.Fourth,based on the system analysis,user research and the existing technology level,the paper proposes a travel assistance product solution with intelligent navigation leading blind stick as the core.Compared with other design research methods,the application of the interpretative mechanism model method has a great advantage in the selection of requirement hierarchy and the arrangement of factor relations in the multi-element system.By establishing an interpretive structure model,the interaction mechanism among system elements can be better revealed,and the priority of requirements can be clarified,so as to guide the design practice.This paper verified the explanation structure model method used in the visually handicapped travel product design in the study of feasibility,research for the visually handicapped travelsystem explanation structure model for the visually handicapped travel product design provides a certain research foundation,at the same time,puts forward the design scheme of design practice and design for visually handicapped travel product provides new ideas for reference.
