油菜是我国重要的油料作物之一,每年大约有40-42%的食用植物油来源于油菜。培育优质高产的油菜品种是当前育种工作者的首要目标。多室角果油菜相比于两室角果油菜,其每果粒数显著增多,在油菜适宜密植、直播及机械化操作等生产与遗传改良中,多室性状无疑具有重要作用。目前已报道的多室油菜类型有白菜型油菜和芥菜型油菜。研究结果表明,白菜型多室性状受一对隐性核基因控制,芥菜型油菜多室性状虽也为一对隐性核基因控制,但还为微效基因所修饰。白菜型油菜的多室性状位于A基因组上,遗传不够稳定,多室单株常表现为多室角果
