After the events of the Arab spring in 2011,and the use that was given to social media to promote social changes in the countries of North Africa and the Middle East,the researchers more seriously included the study of Social Networks as part of the Public Diplomacy.Since then,much research has been done but few to highlight the use of representatives of world political and economic powers.In this investigation,an analysis of the Twitter accounts of the President of the United States of America,Donald Trump,both the staff@Real Donald Trump and the official account as president@POTUS,and the diplomatic or political actions that he has taken out against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezucla from them,and these correspond to the Public Diplomacy.For this,a historical background is made,economic sanctions applied,failings by the President of Venczuela Nicólas Maduro Moros are mentioned;and the recognition as Interim President of the self-proclaimed opposition leader Juan Guaidó;while studying the behavior of the accounts with respect to other countrics such as Russia,China,Turkey and Iran,or Trumps approach to commenting on Democratic politicians,CNN,NBC or the New York Times.Finally demonstrating that the use of Donald Trumps accounts are not intended to be used for Public Diplomacy and generate engagement with the public abroad,but instead are tools that the president uses to demonstrate the Hard Power of the United States of America.
