Efforts to improve health in developing countries face many challenges.Theseinclude high incidence of infectious and communicable diseases, growingburdensof chronic and non-communicable diseases, weak health systems, andinadequatehuman and material resources. There are also unquantified and poorly understood soeio-economic inequalities in access to health services within and between various Population groups.Little is known of the factors that determine these inequalities and the mechanisms through which they operate in various sub-groups.Improved access to health care is a core component of Tanzaniapoverty reductionstrategies (Claire Chastre).but there is a big difference between rural and urban areason accessing health care services.Rural households in Tanzaniaface considerably greater obstacles toobtainhealthcare than urban households because they live further from health facilities andbecause rural facilities are of lower quality There are unique challenges to delivering health care in rural areas, providershortages, isolation, long travel distances, scarcityof specialty care, under-resourced infrastructure, and a predominately olderpopulation witmultiple chronic conditions make very difficult for rural communitiesto access health care services. However, out of necessity, rural areas also make itpossible for smaller hospitals and clinics to be more innovative inovercoming thechallenges of providing comprehensive and coordinated health care to residents.(Rourke J),sinceThe World Health Organization 2010 Global PolicyRecommendations:Increasing Access to Health Workers inRemote and RuralAreas through Improved Retention,This findings call for more attention to strategiesor approaches for reducing healthCare barriers in rural Tanzania. There is greatneed topay greater attention to cross-sector collaboration and a greater focus on theinterventions to benefit the poor. Both private and publie sectors should cometogether with policies and strategies on how to deal with rural health care services. Not only that, but also communityinvolvement in health policies is a very importantfactor that will enable them to know and solve their problems. The project contributeto healthcare policy for the study rural areas that are more in need of health services in Tanzania
