At present there are lots of energy sources which are fulfilling our energy demands. And in all of them renewable energy is the most reliable one as compare to other sources. The sun provides Earth with limitless sources of energy sustaining all humanity demands. Before it was unable for a common person to avail the opportunity of solar energy because of the initial cost. But a lot of work has done on this except on agriculture sector in Pakistan. Since solar power is not being used in agriculture sector as compare to other developed countries so I think this project can bring a lot change and save a lot of energy just for agriculture system. Irrigation is a well-established procedure on many farms in all the Europe countries and is practiced on various levels around the world. It allows diversification of crops, while increasing crop yields. However, typical irrigation systems consume a great amount of conventional energy through the use of electric motors and generators powered by fuel This Project is about running a water pump by solar energy. It will explain the use of non-conventional energy source for our daily, house hold use. Solar energy provides a solution to energy crisis problem in our country. This concerned project deals with this problem in an efficient way by providing energy continuously and independently. This energy is then utilized by water pumps for irrigation purposes, livestock watering and village water supply systems. We used solar panel of 14" X 9" dimension. With an active solar tracker driven by a DC gear motor. For charge storage we used sealed lead acid battery and charge controller to control its charging. 12 VDC pump is used for water pumping purpose. Solar energy is one of the best energy we had in recent time of period and it not only provides a lot facility but also is much economical. All the experiments are done by organized team which led us to get better results.
