This thesis is a research of the warping defect of the composite materials thin shell, with the study of an automobile bumper as an example.First, calculate and verify the heat generation of composite thin laminates according to bibliographic data, thermal conduct theory and cure kinetics.Second, research the curing process of the composite thin laminates by imposing the uniform heat production rate.Meanwhile, the establishment of two comparison models and the simulation the curing temperature field and the curing stress field enabled the prediction of the warpage deformation of the thin laminate. The predicted result was in line with the expetement result.Third, build two comparison models of the rear bumper in Pro/E software and two correspondent finite element models in Ansys software, analyzing the curing temperature field and the curing stress field so as to make predictions about the warpage deformation. The thesis comes to the following conclusions:The curing temperature field of the composite thin laminates is uniform. The thermal expansion coefficient between layers has a great influence on the warping deformation of composite shell parts. The establishment of the models of the thin shell and the prediction of the warpage deformation by using CAE technology is able to solve the problem of the warpage deformation of the composite materials thin shell in practical production.
