In the previous trip to the planets and stars (as published in the April issue of the magazine “Travel to the Planet World”), we have studied the infinitely large world and reached the borders that science can know. This time, we are going to make a trip in another direction: travel to tiny—small enough to be seen only under a microscope, even in the world of objects that the microscope cannot see. We still have to set a scale. The scale of the map we draw is gradually expanding, and each map is enlarged one-hundred times in succession. The last time we started was a green leaf, and this time we still started from the green leaves (Figure 1). Using a blade to cut a small piece of green leaf, place it on a small piece of glass, then drop a drop of water, cover another large piece of glass, and then get under the microscope (Figure 2). Why don’t we look at the way we look at the blades that we use to cut the leaves, what’s under the microscope? There are drops of water, and our own hands.
