尽管边境贸易正日趋活跃,尤其是小平同志南巡讲话之后,更呈现出方兴未艾的景色,但是,作为对外开放的重要途径,作为中国市场国际化的促进力量,应该说,它仍然处于初始阶段,如何进一步发展我国的边境贸易还处于探索时期。同样,应运而生的《云南边境口岸贸易指南》,也是一部尝试性的边贸经商手册,存在这样那样的不足。局限于对口岸本身的介绍,而没有扩及与边贸紧密相关的邻国情况,诸如风土人情、商人心态、商品类型、经济现状与前景等,便是该书最突出的一个弱点。知已知彼,百战不殆,孙子兵法素为发达国家商人所信奉,
