This paper presents the existing hypersonic experimental facilities of the Royal Institute of aircraft, especially for the hypersonic wind tunnel and shock tube wind tunnel, which are discussed in detail in terms of design, performance and usage. The purpose is to Find lessons to learn from their construction and working conditions. This article also compares the reasons for the construction of these wind tunnels with those of the current study on hypersonic flow problems. Given the nature of the problems that need to be experimentally observed in the future, new wind tunnels for future experiments will require longer stable working hours, such as hypersonic wind tunnels, and stable working hours should be seconds rather than shorter. This paper presents data on the source and power of such wind tunnels, and comments on the current heater design are also made because of the heater’s ability to achieve these wind tunnels.
