金属腐蚀是金属材料在存放和使用过程中发生的比较普遍的化学反应现象。一般估计,世界上每年因腐蚀而不能使用的金属制品的重量,相当于金属年产量的四分之一到三分之一,更不用说由于腐蚀使金属结构的破坏造成的损失了。因为金属结构的价值比起金属材料本身来说要大得多。而在这些损失中,如果能够充分利用现有的腐蚀知识加以防护的话,有近四分之一是完全可以避免的。所以对腐蚀及防护的理论和实验研究具有很大的现实意义。
Metal corrosion is the metal material in the storage and use of the more common occurrence of chemical reaction phenomenon.
