一收入这本论文集的几组文章,都是选自作者为1985年5月在天津举行的“中外封建社会劳动者生产生活状况比较研究讨论会”提供的研究成果.这次别开生面的学术讨论会,是由中国社会科学院《历史研究》编辑部、中国世界中世纪史研究会、南开大学历史系和天津师范大学历史系联合发起的.会议的中心议题暨本论文集的主题是:(一)关于劳动者生产生活史比较研究的理论和方法;(二)关于中外封建社会劳动者生产生活状况的比较研究.倘若直观地审视这次讨论会的发言和这本论文集的文章,人们或许不假思索就能作出反应:这是一次中外历史比较研究的具体实践和成果检验.情况也确是如此.在与会者和撰稿者当中,既有从事中国古代史研究的同志,又有从事世界中世纪史研究的同志;既有学识渊博、造诣高深的老年学者,又有勤学善思、著述喜人的中青年后起之
A collection of articles collected in this essay were selected from the research results provided by the author for “A Comparative Seminar on the Production and Living Conditions of Laborers in Chinese and Foreign Feudal Society” held in Tianjin in May 1985. The symposium was jointly sponsored by Editorial Research Department of Historical Research of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China World Medieval History Research Association, Department of History of Nankai University and Department of History of Tianjin Normal University, and the theme of the conference was: (1) A comparative study of the theories and methods of workers’ production and life histories; (2) A comparative study on the production and living conditions of laborers in feudal society both in China and abroad. If one visually reviews the speeches of this symposium and the articles in this essay, Perhaps without thinking can react: This is a concrete comparison of Chinese and foreign history and practice of the test results, the situation is also true in the participants and contributors, both engaged in the study of ancient Chinese history comrades, but also engaged in the world Medieval history comrades; both knowledgeable, advanced senior scholar, and diligent thinking, writing a gratifying middle-aged youth
