In 1974, Margaret Thatcher and Keith Joseph (both members of the governing body of the Conservatives) established the Policy Research Center. This institution surpassed the official Bibliography Bureau, because both of them considered the latter too much of the traces of thought of Chamberlain, the founder of the 1920s. The new masters of thought are Milton Friedman, Friedrich von Hayek and Ludwig Erhard. The new goal is to profoundly reform our thinking, implement some kind of long march of thought, and gradually change the relationship between citizens and the state so that monetarism will become the only possible choice in a vain attempt to seek social unity. on
