Objective To understand the status quo of relationship between homosexual fixed partners (BF) in MSM and to analyze the influencing factors of maintenance time. Methods The snowball sampling method was used to investigate the recruitment of MSM patients and the anonymous questionnaire of related information in fixed places. The results showed that MSM of BF accounted for 84.8% of the total number of the survey, with HIV infection rate of 7.7% and syphilis infection rate of 23.9%. The prevalence rate of infection was 13.3%. The average number of BFs was 2.2 ± 2.1 and the average duration of BF maintenance was 10.3 ± 10.9 months. The reason for the end of the BF relationship is that feelings do not account for 70.0%, love for other places 32.5%, find more satisfied new friends 4.1%, sexual discord 8.5%, others 3.9%. Nearly six months of sexual partners mainly BF accounted for 45.7%, with BF occasional 20.6%, lower than 46.7% without BF (P = 0.000). Multivariate analysis showed that age, occupation, whether the main network partners in recent June, the maximum age of partners in recent June, the number of sexual partners in recent 6 months is an independent factor of BF average maintenance time. Conclusion The relationship between BF and MSM in MSM population is short, with loyalty and unprotected behavior being affected by age, sexual partners and sexual behaviors, which weakens their positive effect on HIV prevention and treatment. Should pay attention to the duality of BF in the prevention and treatment of HIV, will advocate and promote the combination of safe sex.
