根据松毛虫防治工作的需要,我们在室内对松毛虫蛹后期以25,000伦到30,000伦的剂量并以每分钟100—200伦的剂量率进行了照射。在这种条件下获得的不育虫体在交配竞争能力上基本不受影响。胚胎死亡率高,不育效果明显。在不育效果检查中,采用了放射性同位素示踪法,经检查测量证明,雌蛾基本上是一次交配,当虫口密度增大时也可多次交配。在不育卵块和胚胎死亡等判断上均能得到可信的数据。所以在室内试验工作的基础上,进行了野外林间释放试验工作。
