After a series of food contamination incidents such as the mad cow disease in the United Kingdom, Belgium (Evil) Britain and E. E. 0157 in Belgium, the European countries generally strengthened the early warning, supervision and assessment of food safety and adopted the risk analysis Scientific approach to ensure food safety and public health. In order to meet the needs of food safety management, Germany established the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment in 2002, whose main function is to conduct Risk Assessment and Risk Communication and work independently from the government. This paper hopes that through the introduction of the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment, it will bring enlightenment and reference to China in carrying out risk assessment and food safety management.
