玉米地既是芝加哥农业遗产的象征,也是一个不断再生的农业过程。芝加哥北格兰特公园—艺术之田,就作为一种文化象征,以及都市景观自然周期运转的背景画布,其设计采用玉米地作为景观基质。作为主体的玉米地,是生产性景观的农业过程发生的地方。它的南端是一个蔬菜园,并与一个地下纪念品商店相结合,西侧是一系列果园,在北缘还有一个规划中的儿童博物馆及户外游乐场,它被融入生产性景观之中。
Cornfield is both a symbol of Chicago’s agricultural heritage and a constantly regenerating agricultural process. North Grant Park, Chicago - art field, as a cultural symbol of the urban landscape and the natural cycle of the operation of the background canvas, the design uses corn as a landscape substrate. The main cornfield is where the agricultural processes of the productive landscape occur. At the southern end is a vegetable garden, combined with an underground souvenir shop, to the west with a series of orchards and a planned children’s museum and outdoor playground on the northern edge that are integrated into the productive landscape.
