Since 2009, the continuously enhanced seismic activity in the central United States is considered to be the result of fluid injection [1]. Although the basic mechanism of fluid-induced fault slip has been established, [1-5], the emergence of M ≥ 5 destructive earthquakes in the central United States and the dramatic increase of seismic activity have drawn great attention to this issue. The increase in such seismic activity is limited to a limited number of areas and there is growing evidence that the seismic activity in these areas is directly related to the industrial production in the surrounding areas. The Seismological Research Letters (SRL) selected seven scientific papers focusing on basic earthquakes, earthquakes
