白云鄂博铌稀土矿床是世界最大的稀土矿床,吸引全世界的地质工作者前来考察和研究。对矿床成因的成因提出沉积热液叠加,火山岩,微晶丘和岩浆碳酸岩等认识。铌稀土矿赋存于所谓的白云鄂博群第八层“白云岩”中。只要是“白云岩”就是铌稀土矿。前3种认识无法解释铌稀土矿(即第八层)怎么会与第四和第三层直接接触?第八层与第四和第三层分别相距878 m和1020
