象牙海岸用盐水灌溉椰子树的试验结果表明,在旱区砂土上生长的椰子树可用盐水灌溉。在椰子叶片氯化镁和钠含量高时,特别是矮椰子须停止施镁肥。与不灌溉的椰子树相比,盐水灌溉的在头二年增产30%,第三年增产60%。然而,应当指出,这些结果是在灌溉量比土壤缺水量高60%的情况下取得的。此外,砂土肯定会淋溶,从而能避免盐分累积过多。
Experimental results of irrigation of coconut trees with salt water in the Ivory Coast indicate that coconut trees growing on sand in arid lands can be irrigated with salt water. In coconut leaves high levels of magnesium chloride and sodium, especially dwarf coconut to stop the application of magnesium fertilizer. Compared with non-irrigated coconut trees, salt water irrigation increased by 30% in the first two years and by 60% in the third year. However, it should be noted that these results were achieved when the amount of irrigation was 60% greater than the amount of soil water deficit. In addition, the sand will certainly leach to avoid excessive accumulation of salt.
