1982年在乌干达西南部的农村首次发现了一种与HTLV-Ⅲ感染密切相关的新疾病。该病的主要症状为体重明显减轻和腹泻,因而称之为消瘦病。作者分别在3个地区对可疑病人进行了研究。第一组受试者为马萨卡和拉卡伊地区农村的29例病人,年龄为17~37岁(平均26岁);对照组人员由马萨卡的健康人、医院陪床人员和30名HTLV-Ⅲ抗体阴性的住院病人组成。第二组受试者为坎帕拉地区的42例病人,年龄为19~60岁(平均35岁);对照组人员由坎帕拉医院的医生、护士和其他工作人员,以及儿科住院儿童组成。受试者的男女之比为1.2∶1。对全部病人询问病史,并作全面体检。
For the first time in 1982, a new disease closely related to HTLV-III infection was found in the rural southwestern Uganda. The main symptoms of the disease are significant weight loss and diarrhea, which is called wasting disease. The authors studied suspicious patients in three separate districts. The first group consisted of 29 patients in the rural areas of Masaka and Rakai, aged from 17 to 37 years (mean age 26 years). The control group consisted of healthy people from Masaka, hospital staff and 30 HTLV-III antibody-negative inpatient composition. The second group consisted of 42 patients in the Kampala region, aged 19 to 60 years (mean, 35 years); control group consisted of doctors, nurses and other staff from Kampala hospital and pediatric inpatient . Subjects have a male / female ratio of 1.2: 1. Ask all patients history, and make a comprehensive physical examination.
