Some compounds such as Al_2O_3,BeO·3Al_2O_3,BeO·Al_2O_3,3BeO·Al_2O_3 andBeO are considered to be of the BeO-Al_2O_3 system.We have carried out thegrowth of alexandrite(BeO·Al_2O_3:Cr~(3+))and BHA:Cr_(3+)(BeO·3Al_2O_3)crystalsin our laboratory,and have studied their melt structure from the point ofview of thermodynamics as well as from that of kinetics so as to achieve theoptimum conditions for the growth of crystals of excellent quality.
Some compounds such as Al 2 O 3, BeO · 3Al 2 O 3, BeO · Al 2 O 3, 3BeO · Al 2 O 3 and BeO are considered to be the BeO-Al 2 O 3 system. We have carried out the growth of alexandrite (BeO · Al 2 O 3: Cr 3+) : Cr_ (3 +) (BeO · 3Al_2O_3) crystalsin our laboratory, and have studied their melt structure from the point of view of thermodynamics as well as from that of kinetics so as to achieve the optimum conditions for the growth of crystals of excellent quality.
