There are many kinds of artificial light sources for wheat indoor substitution. In order to compare the light effects of “bio-effect light” (hereinafter referred to as bio-lamp) and fluorescent lamp produced by Nanjing Light Bulb Plant and its economic effects, we conducted a comparative experiment in summer 1981 with the combination of wheat indoor additive. The test method was to install 1600 liters (16 tubes, 100 watts) of fluorescent tubes in four square meters of area and 1600 watts (four bulbs, each 400 watts) in the same area.
