金属基复合材料(MMCs)尚未达到大规模工业应用阶段,但鉴于它在战略上的重要性,近年来在航空航天部门的应用开发进展很快,已接近工业应用。本文以MMCs在航空航天工业中的应用为主线,简单地介绍了MMCs的复合体系和性质、生产方法,着重叙述了铝基、镁基、铜基、钛基、金属间化合物基、难熔金属基等复合材料的应用开发现状,最后指出缺少置信度高的机械性能数据库,缺少能实现工业规模生产的工艺方法,特别是增强剂的价格还很高,限制了MMCs的应用开发。尽管如此,铜基和镁基复合材料仍将以年平均增长20%的速度发展,但铝基复合材料在销售量上仍将占主导地位。
Metal-matrix composites (MMCs) have not yet reached the stage of large-scale industrial applications, but in view of their strategic importance, applications and developments in the aerospace sector have progressed rapidly in recent years and are approaching industrial applications.
