Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between South Korea and China in 1992, the Chinese in China have been heating up continuously. Three Chinese-language cable television channels have been successively established in South Korea. For Korean TV viewers, the Chinese cable channel is the window on which they understand China. However, the operation of Chinese cable channels did not meet the expectations of television viewers. This article explores its existing problems from two aspects of the internal and external environment in which Chinese cable channels are located in order to provide some help for the future operation of Chinese cable channels and the exchange of Korean culture.
