分两部分阐述构建终身教育体系的社会需要与可能性。从迎接知识经济挑战，贯彻落实“科教兴国”战略，从对传统学校教育改革，从促进人的全面发展３ 个方面阐述社会需要，又从５ 个方面探讨构建终身教育体系的可能性。
The social needs and possibilities of building lifelong education system are explained in two parts. From meeting the challenges of knowledge economy and implementing the strategy of “rejuvenating the country through science and education”, this article elaborates the social needs from the three aspects of promoting the all-round development of human beings in the reform of traditional school education and probes into the possibility of constructing lifelong education system from five aspects.
