When human beings first used to express their thoughts and create art, they learned to use the lines as a means of portraying and conveying information. The Paleolithic Laskos cave paintings found in southern France illustrate the linear perception of the early humans. As the basis of plastic arts, sketches have been unprecedented development in the West from the beginning of the Renaissance, and tend to be perfect. The masters of art emerged during this period. Finch, Michelangelo, Dürer are all “start from the line” to shape the body. The 19th century is the development of the linear sketch to the extreme. 20th Century
