凸透镜的焦点是一个非常特殊而又显得十分重要的位置,所以在初中物理实验中让学生自己动手测量凸透镜的焦距很有必要.华东版初中物理第一册第145页上,在“研究凸透镜成像规律”的学生实验中,要求学生利用太阳光或手电筒测出凸透镜的焦距.据笔者了解,在老师具体组织分组实验时,有相当部分学校没有备齐手电筒,若遇上阴雨天,根本无法由学生按常规方法自己动手测量凸透镜的焦距.
