In the latter part of World War II, U.S. President Roosevelt helped China gain the status of a big power and made China one of the five permanent members of the United Nations in order to realize its own post-war world concept. But Roosevelt did not do this in order to allow China to help the United States deal with the Soviet Union after the war. At the time, Roosevelt’s vision of the Soviet Union was to continue to cooperate with him after the war. At the same time, Stalin did not intend to engage in confrontation with the United States after the war. His goal was to maintain the cooperation between the United States and the Soviet Union. Therefore, the Soviet factor did not have much influence on Roosevelt’s promotion of China’s international status.
